    Hi,

I’m not too seasoned with the FB API. I just developed an Externally Hosted Flash App that was powered by the previous (REST) API for pulling in content. I have been reading up about the new SDK, and I see that its now openGraph based. While I am going through this new API, I am a little confused about people mean when they say that this update breaks all the apps using the older API. Is that true? Does this mean that the app I just made some time back (and its live right now) will stop working soon? Or how does this work? Thanks for your time.

      Hi Gaurav,

The new Graph API will add new features. New API will not break all applications which are using old API.

The new Graph API is replacing the old REST API as our primary server-side API. Despite our focus on this new API, the REST API will continue to work. Furthermore, all the work Facebook doing to improve the performance and stability of the Graph API will benefit the REST API equally: both are built on the same foundation and infrastructure.

You will get more information from the Document by Facebook.
      and the article.
